Do you put a filter between the tank and electric pump, or between the pump and carb? |

I have both sorts on mine now. If the tank has rust inside, (mine did) bits of it can get to the pump, which won't help its performance. If putting one before the pump I'd make it a biggie- to avoid starving the pump. I use an EA Ford filter. If you use a Ryco under there keep an eye on it as they don't hold much crud. There's no real need for one at the carb if you have one on the pump inlet line, but I still have a Purolator glass one up there too. <edit> the Facet pump has no probs feeding the 1360's 45 Dellorto with both filters on. |
