Can anyone tell me the weight of a 10X4.5" steel wheel? I have reverse style but any kind will be close enough for shipping purposes.

If it helps:- I went and weighed one of my 10x5 Alloy Tasman (Dunlop D1 look-a-likes) with a 165/70R10 Falken Tyre and it weighed spot on 9kg.

Sorry but I don't have any tyres by them selves to find out how much a tyre by itself wieghs. Hope this gives you a bit of a idea - although it isn't exactly the same.

I did see on minispares (or some UK site) the weight of the replica alloys (5.something kg from memory), but I'm really not sure how this relates to an original steel job?

Well a steel wheel should be heavier than a alloy wheel (my wheels have a extra ½inch on the steel wheel).....if you could find the wieght of a 165/70R10 tyre - do a simple subtraction and hopefully you should end up with something close to the weight of a steel rim, otherwise wait until tonight and see if someone has a 4.5x10 steel wheel on them.

OK, a 4.5" S rim (LP883) I have tipped my wife's bathroom electronic scales at 4.2kg (9.4 lbs).

My wife constantly complains her scales are read high, but judging the way she is travelling lately, I think not

i shipped a reverse s rim the other day and all packed up in cardboard it weighed in at 4.20kg. Work's scales!
