Hello!

Just to let you what happened this morning when I was travelling to work.

Driving along Redfern, driving through a back street and stopped on a slope for a red light, anyway the light turned green put my gear stick into 1st, is an auto then the gearbox had it, engine keep spinning and there is no drive! Manage to move on to a flat surface. Drove around the block and realise is finally over. No forward drive but reverse still going. Managed to get back to the main road which i shouldn't finally the car wont able to go foward. Stopped at the lights, now the only option is to reverse on a main road, reversed and parked in front of the RTA Traffic Control Centre. Called NRMA and requested a tow truck. I had my Mini towed 3 times so far, one for distrubutor problem, no petrol and this time no drive.

Well if the car can last me for another 2 weeks that be good, I am getting a 1275 install. The Mini is now stored somewhere but I need it to be tow to my mechanic. Can anyone who lives in Sydney and can provide a tow for my Mini with a car trailer? Need a lift to Wolli Creek to St Clairs, petrol and case of beer will be provided.

Please PM me if you can lend a helping hand.

Cheers,

Mini1989

Translation - This reminds me of the commodore forum I have been hanging out at lately.

Forward clutch goooone. Pull motor and box out, buy $80 worth of parts and fix it.
I've done a couple.
No need to even take motor off the box.

ps. if you want to sell motor & box I might be interested. 8)
