Hey I have truly fixed my flat spot on my 1380.

I removed tha dash pot and chamber form a HS type SU carb and put in on my HIF SU carb with a Heavier spring and then used ATF in the damper and all works better then the twin 1 1/4 su I had. The HIF Chamber has a ball bearing part in it that makes the Piston go up to fast and then Leans of the Mixture and gave me a flat sopt.

All better now

Well it used to be a HIF then I made it a Hybrid SU and it works better with the HS Piston and Damper etc.

The bottom is still HIF That would Not Change It is to easy to tune and too good on fuel compare to the HS type.
