Written by Richard Hammond?

I can't remember exactally, but I think it was Hammond's book that stated at the start the Mini was the best car, and at the back stated as the worst. I think that sums Mini's up PERFECTLY!

Haha, does that mean early ones were best and last ones worst then...

i smell another debate again... and in the recent article from drive, its in another post they reckon that the new bini's are better then the older ones, for performance wise, they reckon it has the same handling style but more comfort and are bigger

Was gonna buy that book for my dad last father's day but I saw the leyland mini and thought nah, he won't like that.

The writer (Richard Hammond?) is any idiot! Anyways no debating.

So I bought Lemons, and the 2nd edition to it. That's a fun coffe table book, the moke is in it, but for the reasons that it wasn't an off raod vehicle and such. And the Triumph Stag was in there but that doesn't stop me or my dad from drooling over them!

The Lemons book is better IMO it doesn't hate cars, but makes fun of them. And 90% of the cars in there you agree with what he says.

As opposed to leyland mini, worst car in the world? Never, one of the worst, not even close.

As an ex-Beetle mechanic I think that's most unfair, they were designed pre-WW2 and had a model run at least as long as the Mini. Were still being made in Mexico not too long ago.
There are still a fair few about- they were made from good German steel and were not tinny like most Jap cars were and still are. They are not a rust trap unless totally neglected.
A well worked big$$$ one will see any modified A series Mini off at the drags, too.
They have something a Mini lacks, it's called `traction'. 8)

That's only cause its a British show and Hitler created the Beetle.
