Im looking at changing the front seats of my 78' LS to something a little more comfortable and that reclines. As im not too fussed about keeping the interior original.
So i'm looking for something that will sit in about the same height or even lower than whats in there now.
Any one have any suggestions and to do it as ive never changed a seat in any car but ive heard it can be a real pain in the ass.

I think that the minis might have common mounting points for the front seats, however best be sure and check it out first.

I fitted some front seats out of a 1994 Charade and they fitted quite well.. Just a matter of making some brackets for the front and back...

We have Clubby front seats in Barney, our 67 Mini. But the downside is you can't fit retractable front belts if you do this, the recliner mechanism fouls the reel. :x
Bugga....

Late Clubman seats have different mounting points to the early Minis and early Clubmans. They are not a straight bolt in.

oh grrrrr actually it might fit in cause of the saas seats.. when they were installed the previous owner made the bolts go through the floor and bolted at the bottom, so they might fit

The standard early Mini mounts are on the front of the box section.
The late seats mount on the top of the box section and on the floor behind the box.

Yeah they did, maybe thought stronger but meh, they tore out in my son's one...
Bloody Mini crossmembers are all tissue paper thickness.
