Post subject: | New tyres- Availability & price |
I need to get some new tyres for 12" superlites due to early failure ![]() I have been hunting down some A539s to no avail.. Can anyone help me with recommending a tyre of equal quality as the yokos. I have been quoted on falkens-$120 and simex-$90 so would be leaning to the falkens i'd say.. I have been asking about the Dunlop 048R but no one seems to stock them. (keep getting told they don't make any to suit). If any body in Adelaide has bought some recently- what, where, and approx. $$. The tyres i'm looking for are 165/60R12 Thanks. |

Hanra, they look the goods for sure! Plenty of grip I assume by the tread pattern there, and they are street legal? Very tempting, I may have 3 A539s for sale if they get purchased.. Still with plenty of tread, any takers?!? ![]() |

They are a very soft tyre and if u drive on them everyday, they will wear out very quick!!!!! I think they are street legal, they are a semi circut/street tyre. Look up Garys Motorsport, they should be able to help out. A539's are Yokys. |

Speak to Slix Motorsport. Let people know they are a motorsport tyre... most drop kick tyre shop people wouldn't know a valve from their arse hole. Slix are on Marion road and are very helpful and good on price too. |

Outstanding performance in the wet is derived from a super traction compound. The A539 was voted the best performance tyre in Wheels Magazine Tyre Test 2003. The A539 came out on top in Best Braking, Best Cornering, Best Slalom Control against all the major brands and was declared the Wheels tyre test winner in the performance category. I thought they were awesome, i just like to have 4 of the same and can't find a single one to replace the damaged one.. Cheers willy, might try and get a hold of them tomorrow then. |

I don't doubt that, they're basically a treaded slick! The yokos were a good 'performance' tyre, much like the 008s i had on the 10s.. Thanks for the phone numbers etc. I'll try slix first as it's a bit easier dealing with somebody local. Will have to look at getting the rest of the suspension properly set up with adjustable parts to take advantage of the extra grip! |
