THis is a junior Dragster - well we'll call it Mini dragster so this is not an OT thread.

Was out at WSID today and it was SHite hot, I mean 35 degrees temps and probably well over the 40 on track. For the second time running I suffered a bit of heat stroke but this time I recognised the early simptoms and packed up and went home - damn it was soo hot.

Anyway, these mini dragsters are driven by kids 6 and up, boys and girls. There is NO shade at WSID and the cars have to line up in there staging lanes for ages before their run. The car after this one was being driven bu a girl probably 7 - 8. Reminded me a lot of my daughter. SHe's sitting in the car in unbearable heat, all straped in, helmet, race suite the lot. finally gets to have her run and the car packs in on the line before she can stage.

Led to this geat pic I got with the new telephoto lens.

Aww. That is quite sad. Poor thing didnt even get what she came for... maybe next time. :cry:

That's a classic shot Chris.....

How k'ken hot was it!! I am burnt to a crisp! Bummer about your sun stroke...but I am not surprised! I feel the same!

It was just after the iliminations started and I was looing forward to it, it seemed like it was just cooling down but I thought I was getting a bit light headed.

Heres the link for the video.

When a Top fueler goes paste it nearly knocks you down.

At one point I was standing in between the two lanes watching a pro stock to a burn out when I went to sratch my nose and accidentally pulled one of my ear plugs out.
