Post subject: | Right Hand Tanks |
Are Right Hand tanks a mirror image of the standard tanks?? What mounting points are you supposed to use when installing them? Do you have to drill any holes to mount them? |

Q1. basically, yes- but the fuel outlet is in a different spot. Q2. copy what is done with the LH tank, ie attach the strap to the seat back, and drill a hole in back of boot floor to retain the bottom strap. I used a standard LH tank strap. There's a proper tank bracket kit you can buy, but for a non-S Mini, meh- I used 2 blocks of wood. ![]() 3. Yes as said for the straps, and one on the body for the filler neck. I made a cardboard template of LH one relative to side seam and rear window, turned it over and marked body for the RH one. |

"They are too dangerous, have too much power, you will kill yourselves, there is a LONG waiting list- here, have one of these instead at 1/2 the price".. so saith the salesmen back then. ![]() |
