 Post subject: simple gearbox question

good evening
Are the drive gears in the box(not dog gears on the syncro) straight cut or helical(sp?)

depends if you count reverse! or if someone has installed a s/c gearset. :roll:

standard all gears are helical cut, except reverse on all gearboxes. remember 4th gear is simply the input shaft locked to the output shaft for 1:1 ratio.

drop gears are helical cut standard.
