I know this isn’t exactly mini related but I will be using it to paint the engine bay and subframe soo...

I went down to super cheap to get some paint stripper for the mini and there was a special for the really cheap shitty Chinese air compressors for 100 bucks. anyways I got one took it home followed the instructions to run it in filled up the oil etc and started using I. after about 3 minutes oil started dripping out of the oil area whenever the compressor was running and went everywhere sooo I switched off the compressor and had a look where it was leaking and it appears to be coming from the seal around the oil reservoir which is held in by Allen key bolts (which I already checked to see if they were tightened).

Has anyone else here bought the compressor that im talking about?
And should I return it to super cheap and get a refund or swap etc?

cheers, goffy

The yellow one right?

I had a broken elbow fitting on mine, returned it and got another one no worries.

It runs like a marvel.

when buying cheap, just remember this mantra...

1. Buy it
2. Use it
3. Break it
4. Replace it.
5. Go to #2

Graham Russell and I bought a $50 Arlec Enforcer 1.5hp air compressor from Kmart. They flew out the door at that price. I don't think you can make a compressor for $50...

Graham has heavily used his for the past year or so without any issues. He uses it more than his HUGE tanker sized compressor, he says it's easier to use for the small odd jobs...

Mine is still going strong too.
