well just got home from my first test drive.:D
was a morris mini deluxe, and well its quite a change from my normal daily driver  BOY its fun though....hasnt got much guts and, well, this car was pretty much as stock as it gets. :D just curious, tommorow ill try to go see another deluxe but one which has a transplanted 1100cc in it. this other one has a mild exhaust on it, a weber carby and has had the engine or the gearbox rebuilt...i cant remember which one. is it gonna feel a lot more faster then the 1L in the one i saw today. i realise that ill never get the power stock from a stock engine that could compare to the bmw but, i just was curious if its really noticible . also this other one is asking $7000 for it....if i could get it for $6500 would it be worth it?

sorry bout so many questions everyone.
Thanks for your help so far :D
Cheers
Cap

BTW i loved the steering!! thought that no power steering would peeve me off but that was fine! :D

Could'nt agree more Cap, if you like it and enjoy driving it well then it is worth it.
Just make sure you give it a good look over for rust, even to the point of getting an expert to give it the once over.

Good luck Gerg

for that money i would want disc brakes, good paint, neat interior, no rust and a fresh motor.

I reckon the one you're talking about is black, 1100, weber etc. It has been for sale for ages and recently dropped from $7500 to $7000. From memory the new paint is external only, engine bay looked a bit ordinary as far as I remember. If the paint job has been done properly with proper rust repairs underneath then I reckon it would be worth $6500. If the paint is ordinary (just a bog&flog), it is only worth $5k max IMO.

ill post up some pics when i get back from work.
cheers

Meant to be there.

hydros i think had like long springs that pretty much just stopped the control arm from bouncing too far.

Don't like the dash but the outside looks good although missing bonnet badge.

Is it just me, or the camera angle... but does that left rear wheel look out of whack? Almost as if the rear subframe has been punched forward an inch.

DRB33N- cheers....thought it might...but just checking

slinkey inc-yeah i know i was a little funny on the dash.....not too bad to drive with though. and also the body has been debadged...the boot has no marks for the MORRIS MIN DELUXE and is completely smooth, but they have the bits there. also they have the front one too.

SGC- it is the camera angle.....i wouldve freaked if it was like that haha
