Hey guys, I'm thinking of selling my mini, just wanna get your opinions on how much i could get for it. here are some basic specs:

66 Deluxe shell

twin 1.25 SUs with K&Ns
new exaust with LCB
2 core radiator
painted a couple of years ago, still pretty good

i never said anything about street legality, but that would be the only major thing.

I've been offered 1275 drummed mini for sale before. It's 'dodgy' in that it's not road legal, but from a project perspective it's better as it has a 1275 then discs need to be found. Unless of course you don't want a 1275 mini.

Having said that, it's illegal and all, Regency, when I did my road worthy never once asked how many cc's the motor was.

was a 1275 mini ever released with drums all round standard? if it wasnt then its not legal. AFAIK all aussie mini's up to 1100cc had drums (apart from coopers) and all 1275's had disk's.
when i fitted a 1275 to the mini k i was required to fit disk's, everybody from rta to mechanics etc said so

The Moke was the only Mini (variant) that got 1275 and drums as standard.

edit: I hate these threads.

Don't ask us what its worth without putting a pic up or something.

Series Landrovers had front drum brakes and are a lot heavier than minis with a few more cc's too

Lots of trucks have drum brakes too.
But they are efficient, unlike their smaller friend's drum brakes
