Was ther ever and Mini Waongs made in Oz. I have seen one that is ment to be a wagon not a van as it has sliding rear windows and a back seat. Theonly thing that I can find to say it was converted is a Conversion Sticker on the back door saying it was done at Eagle Farm in Brisbane |

Yes there were some, they were vans with a seat and side windows. Not a `proper' UK style Traveller, though. There was a post on here a while back with more info. Can't remember who. ![]() |

I have both - a van and a genuine UK Traveller. ![]() Comparing them, it is pretty easy to spot the differences. The genuine travellers have different shaped side windows (square corners), and the floor pan is different, as the spare wheel fits under a wooden cover in the rear subframe. The traveller also has the side boxes both ends of the back seat, like a Mini sedan. (See my website for photos of a Traveller in the rough.) There are some quite good van conversions doing the rounds. I was going to go that route, but then I found my Traveller. |
