I suspect that I need new cones on the front of the moke, what do you think (please ignore the red "powdercoat" on the inside of the wheels  ) ?

Hi-los are a cheaper option than new cones, but not as cheap as second hand cones.
:D

I considered hi-los, however I'm hoping to improve the ride as well. So I'm right in guessing that the cones are gooooone?

Pretty worse for wear.
Not to mention defective.
The front appears to be sitting on bump stops.
This is why lowered hydro cars 'handle' so well, because they are effectively a rubber suspension when lowered to the bump stops

Knock off those bump stop spacers that Mokes have on top of the top arms and she'll be exactly the same as the reference car. She'll ride better too.

You serious about knocking off the bump stops? Are you suggesting doing this instead of or in conjunction with replacing the cones? 8)

willy - once I finish the front end, I'm planning on dropping that engine you got GR building you in it! :P

Yo can see the groath ring on the bumper stop.
I'd say the Rubber cone is gone by the used by date.
If it was me..I'd buy Hi lo's and and get two sets of good rear Rubbers Cone's from say a wreckers
Unless you want to buy New

Yeah, put some new(er) cones in there. Get some from the rear of another car.

My Moke doesn't have those packers. One just fell off and I took the other off. Unless you plan on yumping the car, it'll ride and handle better without them.

Appreciate the advice guys, the new ones are a bit rich for me so 2nd hand cones are the way to go.
