Are Metro CV Joints the same as 8.4's and 7.5's?

I don't believe they are.
Something to do with the driveshaft output (input, whatever).

yes they are, the CVs are the same,

it`s just the axles are longer

by axles do you guys mean stub axles? will normal disc brake ones be ok or are they that much shorter?

The CV includes the stub axle - it's one piece.

The axles referred to above are the driveshafts between the CVs and the output shaft flanges on the gearbox.
