The wiper arms on my LS are old and seem to have a problem holding onto the glass when sitting at hwy speeds (depends alot of wind direction, aswell). Is this a problem with old arms and old springs, or is it a problem with new wiper arms aswell? Any good solutions? |

Never had this issue, but i have seen these little plastic aerofoil things that clip onto ur wiper arm and create downforce at higher speeds, these plant ur wipers onto the glass firmly. Never tried em, so dunno if they work. In theory it all sounds like a good idea, but so were Holden Commodores. |

Yer that was an option, but ugly as (unless there is a nice one avail), and apparently they foul on the bonnet when you open it. |

you can buy heavy duty arms from ninispares UK - they have stiffer springs and are supposed to stay on the screen. |

The springs lose tension so you can... 1) Fit better springs. 2) Shorten your existing springs by a couple of mm 3) Bend the wiper arms so that they put more pressure on the screen. 4) Fit new arms. One option will only take a couple of seconds and cost no money. That is the one that I use. ![]() |

Bending the arms used to be the first option before the chinese started making everything in existance. It used to be one of those black arts performed by master mechanics it seemed. |
