My old clubby, beautiful paint job, didn't mind the look at all.

Then this happend, got the whole thing on video to. So it was kind of worth it

Image

So me and dad decided to put a roundnose front on it. We had one from the front cut we got from brickworx, and I always thought a roundnose mini looked nicer. So along came the months and months of slacking off and working on it occasionally, took about 5-6 months all up. Here's a few pics of the process. (anything that looks dodgy was dads doing)

Image
Ripping out the front end.

Image
Lining up the new front

Image
started to strip down the rest of the car, found out that rust holes the size of a ball bearings can soon become the size of a footballs when using the wire wheel

Image
first few colour coats on, decided to go with a metallic british racing green, its more of a emerald green though, looks good.

Image
Bonnet stripes on and ready for the clear coat. Did the stripes a bit wide but that just makes it look meaner.

And this is the final product, the paint job is my first so go easy. I like the look of the new front heaps more, it's just more classic. But i miss the room of a clubby!

It is a shame to see any mini damaged but even better to see one saved and on the road again with donor parts from another mini.

Well done on the effort. She looks good!

Yeah, you can't talk about something you have and then not show it.
What's the point in mentioning it then?
:D
