recently we changed skins on my sliding window doors. the only skins i could find anywhere were on a mini mart trading site like queensland etc. i called around at panel shops aswell, nothing.
im pretty sure the ones i got wernt genuine. at first they looked great but when we fitted them to the door frame, they were too wide at the tops and didnt have enough curve through the skin. we had to english wheel them by hand to get the shape back in them.
it was a PITA.
i think the price was around $100-150, if you can, get some from heritage in the uk. you might pay more but you wont spend as many hours on it trying to make it look right.

I think there's only one type produced in australia, and there different as mentioned, there for sliding windows not wind up. I'll have to see whats abroad. Would rover ones be the same?

Rover doors are completely different shape and size, different door handles and no external hinges

So their skins would be no good.

I reckon you could put a sliding window door skin on a wind up door with a little persuasion. Shouldn't be much more difficult than reskinning it with a windup skin if they were available. There are still some Australian Clubman NOS door skins floating round so you never know your luck.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if my drivers door had an 850 skin on it. It had been reskinned when I bought it (not very well), and it is missing the holes that the rubber/plastic stopper for the door handle should go. Must have a closer look and see!

Mini Spares at Padstow Sydney have 850 door skins brand new, around $150 each from memory

The door handle hole in the sliding window door skin does not line up for the wind up window door, just needs re-positioning as does the mounting bracket for the door handle inside the skin. A bit of mucking about. Other thing I found was the top lip (for the chrome trim and weather strip) of the SWD skin was taller than the WUWD, just trim it down. Easier before you put it on.
