What they look like? I'm pretty sure these trims i've bought at Cooper trims, but not 100% sure. |

I'm sure i can find a better picture but these are the go: 
There are two types, en earlier and later pressing, the outer holes differ slightly. They were fitted to other models as well such as the riley and wolsely versions, UK supers and I think also the estates. I can't remember now.....some old fellow was harping on about them and he showed me one, he needed them for his estate...... It's to do with the shape of the outer holes. They may go square or something like that. |

Was going too but have only been up for a short while plus visitors coming this afternoon. Our old mate David (Peter's ex mate) had some of those to sell some time ago.......wanted a ridiculous price for 'em. Catch ya |

I'm not 100% sure but I have 2 sets that seem to be 2 different metals , one stainless and the other chromed I think , perhaps there were aftermarket versions available as well ???? |

They're late. The early ones had rectangular cut outs. They were used on all the upmarket UK models not just coopers. Tim |

Yes, moon shaped hole ones post 1960 in UK on 850, Deluxes, Coopers etc. The rectangular hole ones were 59 and 60 only, 850's and the very first travellers / Countrymen I believe. Steve and Mikey had some on their early estate. Graham

As far as I know the Cooper and the Super Deluxe (along with a few other models) shared the same wheel trims. These are the ones that are on my Super Deluxe. 
Steve.E showed me the difference between the ones on his and Mikey's early traveller. The difference was that the early ones had a more rectangular cut out. Here is a pic of them. 
I think the wheel trims you have purchased Scott are the Cooper style. I am sure Steve.E can shed some more light on it though. Cheers, Matt |

I am lucky, lucky that my wife allowed me to spend so much money on a broken down 47 year old Mini! Its the second most expensive car I've ever bought and it doesn't even go. Unfortunately the only progress so far is research and tracking down some of the more elusive bits and pieces unique to the early cars. I'm in the process of buying a big garage and workshop with a house nearby, before I can start the real work. In the mean time I go down to the storage centre at lunch time and admire it. I was very pleased to get hold of what seems to be an original fuel cap the other day, its tiny compared to the standard Mini sedan one. Someone had done a very clever job of grafting a second filler neck over the original to take a different cap, but I should be able to remove than now and fit the new one. Research includes getting the heritage certificate which shows that it was born on the 25th of January 1961, and trying to find out things like the significance of the rectangular or half moon cutouts in the hubcaps. I don't mind you putting that picture up at all. Hopefully, once I make some progress I can start putting up some of my own. Tim |

I was looking through one of my brochures today and it seems Leyland decided to get rid of old stock in 1972/3 and sold them as clubman accessories as well .
