Man i dunno if i wanna be giving u advice with electrical stuff.... its harder then mechanical stuff, which u seem to already have dramas with.... and this can easily cause fires or at least melt wiring. Why is ur starter wiring underneath ur guards anyway? If u cant find ur starter solenoid, ur not looking hard enough. If u still have the standard starter, there will be a thick power lead about 30cm long running from the starter to the solenoid, this is where the battery 12v also connects to the rest of the car. Its pretty obvious. |

Joe , just confirm that Tiny doesn't have a push button starter on the floor or anything ? The starter solenoid is normally on a bracket on the block , as you are looking at the engine from the front of the car it is normally 4" below and 4" to the left of number 4's spark plug . You can't miss it as it has the big cable from the starter motor going to it and another from it under the car . Just follow the big cable from the starter and you'll find it if it isn't in the normal spot . If the wiring is that bad maybe you should look at getting a nw wiring harness and replace what's there already before it causes you heaps of grief . |
