hey me and my bro and a couple of mates put a round nose on the back of a 2wd rodeo, like an early 90's model... only had to drive about 3km but yeah, its doable

On its way to the Court Room for a legal battle over 2nd paint job!!! Mazda B series 2WD ute.

Coming home from its 3rd paint job. Note shell sitting on 2 pallets, so that its able to be carried without touching the car. Isuzu Rodeo 4WD. This was a 1 1/2 hour drive from Cairns up to the Tablelands.

can be done. wouldnt suggest too long a journey. Sit the shell on some tyres to protect the shell and use some stinking good straps or rope. Safe to put some red rag off pretruding sections. Have fun.

assuming you're thinking about it for dad's car - it'd want to be a big tray Brad... the car isn't just a shell, there are subframes and doors and seats and bonnet and and and. A box type ute (not a tray) and a small trailer are what you need, maybe Aaron or someone will lend you their small trailer. We could then put the shell on the trailer and the rest in the ute...

Sorry for the hijack, but yeah!!

When the car got its 2nd paint job, it was at the panel beaters for 12 months, it sat in bare metal for about 2 months, and when i got it back with red paint on it, it actually started rusting under the paint after only a few weeks of having it back.

So i took the shell to court, and took the panel beater through the Small Claims Tribuanl, only got half my money back, so i blew a few thousand dollars there......

I got one on the back of my F100.... but as Simon says (yeah yeah) if uve got subframes aswell.... hmmm makes life difficult, the other way to do it would be.....put the rear subframe on the back of the ute.... with 2 big tyres, so that the tyres are taller than the subframe when its on its flat... then lift on the body... then fit the front subframe to the mini..... only needs 4 nuts n bolts... then load everything else in the shell...weight is the other problem.
