Post subject: | BIG NUTS |
Hi guys, I just got my load of stuff from Karcraft and my CV's dont have any nuts. If I just roll up at motor traders do you think they can hook me up? Cheers Michael |

NO. been there, done that... ![]() These Mini nuts are shorter than the normal castellated type which are also of inferior material. Get some from a Mini place. ![]() |

Did the CVs come with new circlips for the driveshafts? If not, get new ones. ![]() |

yeah it came with, boots, grease, boot clamps, new circlip. I was very surprised with Karcraft it only took em 3 days to COD 500 bucks worth of gear. Considering I live about 45mins from a large mini supplier a 3 day wait was pretty sweet. I think the above mentioned mob sells nuts for about 5 bux |

I once got some standard castellated nuts and machined the back, so they would fit the C/V. But the nuts were crap material, (grade 4 maybe) and stretched the nut threads when torqued up. I binned em. It pays to buy the right ones. ![]() |

Get new tapered washers (collar) too if you haven't already. |
