OK, who's got what??? I've got to get a set a tyres to get the body rolling , so as I can get it on a trailer to the mechanic. And since I have to get tyres I want to get the ones I'll be driving on. I do want something sticky, something that will perform well, and hopefully NOT be like driving on ice in the wet. I've heard some talk of Dunlop Formula-R's, also heard of Yoko 032R's. If anyone has any suggestions, and, knows of a place that supplies and fits them here in Brissy I'd really appreciate the help. Chris |

AO32Rs are a beautiful tyre! They handle very well, look damn sexy, and are good in the wet too! Pricy at around $200 a corner fitted, and wear rerasonably quickly, but who cares, they are the ultimate street tyre for 10' wheeled minis!! |

The two places I know of are Queensland Raceway (at Willowbank race track) and Tyretech at Albion. QR are Dunlop agents I think and should be able to get A032R and A048R as well. Tyretech can get most brands too. Both places supply race tyres including slicks so they shouldn't be as hopeless as the average chain store. I run A032R on Mokesta and they are grippy and fantastic but they are very noisy with annoying harmonics at 40 & 80 km/h. M |

M Well, I can't hear anything over the valve noise thru the 45 sidedraft webber anyway so..... may have to go the 032R's me thinks. 
Damn...Thats another 1000 gone. This mini lov'in is expensive heh heh

How long before the car is drivable? Personally I would get some shitters until the car is ready to be driven. |

Should be very soon, Hopefully 1 month
Just needs a little more lovin from my wallet. But, hopefully I won't need too may more parts. I've had a pretty good relationship with MR Automotive at redcliffe over the years, and am pretty sure it will be a "going concern" shortly. I can see a high speed run up Mt Glorious soon

DO1J's seem to be a good tyre. They are very very very soft. If i drive my car, i end up having to pick small stones out of the tyres. They are not just kinda stuck in the tyre, they are really really stuck in the tyre!! |

Yeah, those Dunlops sound like wet weather slicks more than just DOT legal tyres. I will be driving on road heaps, but want tyres that WILL perform, would love to get back into clubsport again. Time, so little of it left these days. Remember the days when you would go for drive for something to do??? I miss those days. BTW, are the 032R's a directional tyre or not. 3deg rear camber wears tyres to cone shape real quick, I'd prefer someting I can turn on the rim occassionally. |

32s are directional but not L&R so you can swap them side to side. My 32s caused heaps of stone chips on Mt Glorious. The road had been surfaced with the cheapo liquid tar with gravel sprinkled on top. I went over it with the stickies and they picked up all of the stones and blased my wheel arches and the sides of the car. The other cars in the group on stock rubber didn't have any damage. |

Just spoke to Luke over at Tyretech, $200 a pop, checking to see if their supplier has any as he just sold his last 3 yesterday. |
