OK, so my rubber bondage gear hasn't been used in a while, and it's a bit stiff and I'm worried if I pull the straps too tight it'll tear... also I like it a bit softer and more pliable/stretchy

what can I use to soften it up the rubber so it's protected from the elements (as I usually use it outdoors), and make it last a long time (it's really good gear)

the gear isn't all black, it's two-tone black and white, so I don't know if tyre stuff is right to use, and I don't want to go out and find something and have it wreck the white surface

thoughts?

OK, so it's not bondage gear, it's something for the mini but I'm not telling what, and I figure I'd beat all the funny buggers to the punch and just come out and say that it's bondage gear, cos anything to do with rubber will bring them out of the woodwork.....

I washed my rubber in diesel, it softens and cleans. It dosent smell so good, but it does act as a lube

Try castor oil. Being non mineral it won't attack the rubber. Years ago an old mechanic told my mum to mix castor oil and methylated spirits and squirt it into the rubber bushes of the shock absorbers in her Austin Lancer. Rational being castor oil is the only oil the mixes with alcohol, it doesn't rot the rubber, and it stopped the squeak - result the bushes lasted for years

A rubber specialist in Salon Kitty's told me boot polish to preserve and soften rubber. It comes in all colours and clear - not just black so you dont ahve worry about it staining your manhood.

Now for the serious answer - it depends on the type

Seals and other bits that dont need to be heat tolerant - vasoline

Heat tolerant rubber - castor oil and some form of peretrating hydrocarbon

hmmmm, so

1/ diesel - yuck
2/ castor oil - interesting.... I'll see how much it is at the supermarket
3/ boot polish - sounds good, as there are some minor cracks in it which could use filling, except I'd have to buy some, and I'm a tightarse (see point 5)
4/ WD40 - scares me a bit, I'll see how brave I am
5/ vaseline - I'll try a little bit of vaseline (obviously I have plenty of that...), but I don't want dirt sticking to it

What about silicon spray, not sure if it will help in making them more plyable though but will reduce any friction

It sounds to me as if your secret subject might be something to do with a "tranny"

Glycerine was used in days before silicone to soften rubber. Rub it in generously over a few weeks.

Al
