There is a new warning added to the rules of the forum at the top of this thread. It regards personal information and the use of it on this forum.

Have a read and get comfortable with the concept.

Consider the information you post, and where you want the interest in your project and possessions to stop.

Prevention is better than an empty garage and undesirables in your house. The promise of grievous bodily harm to the thieves will probably be tempered by the fact that they have come prepared and you are streaking around your garage near naked armed with a deck of cards you grabbed on the way out
.

dont forget about not publishing chassis and engine numbers as well as they can be used to produce false ownership documents.

What about people who are asking questions about their numbers? Should we designate someone who knows far too much about them and make everyone PM them if that sort of question arises?

As the good doc said , if you're after a rough date or id of a motor or car then put it up without the last couple of digits , it won't make any difference to the info you'd get back and if it is something like the 850 register I'm doing I've asked for details via PM and once I have them nobody else gets them .

On that note it might be time to go through that thread again and delete the new numbers in it ...
