very wierd.... but YG2S7 is just before a clubman GT which is YG2S6, so maybe its a really really early clubman and that's what they had....

assuming it's a large square alloy plate?

got pics?

Hmmm, The YG2S7 is the Mini Clubman. (Not Leyland, Not Morris but Mini Clubman) But seeing how the car number is 670 that would make it a very early Mini Clubman (car 170)

There are two things I can think of...

1) Leyland was going to call the car the Morris Mini Clubman. :?
or
2) They had a heap of Compliance plates already stamped with Morris left over from the Mini K and Cooper S and they just wanted to use them all up.

clubman GT is s2 8, not 6.
June could be right for that number - very early GTs numbered less than 600 (100th car in reality) were stamped July.

cheers!

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.
