I've just brought an Australian delivered Vanden Plas Princess 1300 complete with most of the original selling dealers sticker on the back window.

Just wondering if any Ausmini'rs might remember anything about a dealer called
D. Lorimer at Gordon in NSW in the late 60's.

Any information would be greatfully received

speaking of window stickers - im wondering if anyone can show me / tell me what was on the rear windows etc of minis when they were delivered - something like the made in Australia boomerang and the floats on fluid stickers??

Yes I can - it was an Orangey yellow building, not big, on the left hand side heading towards the city. Had two big plate glass windows at the front and a smallish gravel pebble forecourt. Sold only selectively rather than the entire BMC range.

I've tried googleing them with no sucess, I'd love to get a pic of their rear window sticker to see if I could get a replacement made. Mine is just ratty enough to want to remove it and too good to be game to!

Lorimers are no longer there - havn't been for probably 30 years. Most recently it was a used car yard specialising in classic cars.

I dont even know if the building is still there - its been years (10 or more) since i have driven down that part of the pacific hwy.

i could probably make a replacement if you throw me a piccie of it

You need to "host" the picture somewhere like photobucket or your own web space provided by boss , isp or whatever . This thread gives all the details though ,
