What are peoples thoughts on putting motor in newly painted mini,from top or with subframe from bottom?? Ive never put one in from underneath before so what do you have to leave of the motor so it fits? oil filter radiater e.t.c Thought i'd ask first..Cheers |

From the top with radiator , starter , alternator on is the way I do it , I have a good engine crane though . I find it a lot easier to manage single handed than trying to lower the body down straight over the subframe/motor . |

Ithought it would of been easier to go the other way [under],especially when car is bare shell,Less paint to scratch,if i did do it this way i would put a bracket across inbetween towers and lift shell with block and tackle ,and lower it down, but never done this before!!!!! have to wait and see ! |
