Best way to find out is to call Shannons and ask them directly as that will be more accurate than trying project what it will be based on other people's experiences. ![]() |

For me.... None extra, with Shannons. We agreed on an amount for my car, we signed the deal. The they asked about mods, I listed them. They were completely cool with it. But check first! |

What's insurance? (beyond 3rd party property, anyhow. . .) |

How cheap do you want it?? How about paying nothing! then it doesn't cost you till you smash! Panel beating shops are full of drivers cars that were never going to smash. Think about covering the most important part of the car(the driver) and you'll see how much insurance can cost. |

Think about covering the most important part of the car(the driver) and you'll see how much insurance can cost. My point exactly. Hence my comment about 3rd party property. There's always the chance you'll whack into a Ferrari and injure the driver after all. . . As for my car, I'm prepared to cover the loss of any of my cars (with the exception of the VW, which IS comprehensively insured) as a result of my own stupidity/recklessness. And as far as theft goes, I'm confident that no-one will ever be able to (or would want to!) steal any of my cars so I'm prepared to take the risk (again, with the exception of the VW). If my house burns down and takes the cars with it, then I'm covered by my home and contents insurance (yes, I've checked). It's horses for courses but I've saved enough money in NOT insuring cars in 20 years of driving to cover the cost of replacing all the cars I currently own. . . |
