Post subject: | Rust in Floors |
Hey Guys So i finnaly got my mini yet i have noticed i have a big job ahead with the rust in the floors. I have rust in every floor and reasonably extensive so i will have to definately get them replaced. Some questions i have 1) How hard is it to fix front, back and boot floor and also foot well, the place between the inner and outer sill where the door sits on. 2) I have a mig welder would this be OK for the job.? 3) I also have some rust behind the front wheels right where the A frame meets the firewall. Has anybody worked on these areas? Anywy willing to send it to somebody to work on it as i want the car to be done properly yet if the work is easy to do will be willing to do it myself. Thanks guys |

Really the local TAFE (CIT). OK My non existant skills on the welder are not that great and i would like to do a good job on the body. I guess i would look at going to one of these guys. Do you think it would a good option to buy the panels prior to going out there for them to weld it on the car? I would be getting the panels from Classic Motoring out at Fyshwick. |
