Don't know about the check plate on the inside arches and the oil coiler position though.

I should mention that I had an intimate relationship with this van for a couple of years, I didn't own it but I worked on it like I did.

If the current/potential owner wants to know any history they can pm me

Daniel

Wow - that is one of the most beautiful van's I have ever seen!

I'd like to drive it seeing as it has been bored out to "13000cc"

I would love to own that van - but wallet says no. :(

A couple of observations....
Quote:
Teflon coated engine
Strong gear box with 1.5 ratio diff recon
Teflon coated engine? It looks like paint to me.
1.5 ratio diff. A bit slow off the line but once the boost gets up....

Pity about the lack of air filter.
Missing hose from breather on rocker cover?
Pity about the way the wiper overruns the screen onto the body.
Poor fitting door rubbers.
I can't wait for the bonnet prop to go through the oil cooler!

I can't comment on the engine specs, it used to have a 1380 with ~115hp that GR dyno'd, the one is this pic (note large k&n filter, and it fit with the box that I made for the gauges)

I know the bonnet isn't supposed to have a prop, there were pins at the rear (two triangle plates in corners) and you just had to take the bonnet off for servicing.

The wiper boxes are same as clubman so easy as to fix. I don't think you'd be driving it in the rain anyway. They were only left on for rego purposes.

It might not be everyones cup of tea and some things I never liked, but overall its a great mini van

Looks great.

~115hp at the fly, probably about 80 hp at the wheels.

I imagine, if this motor, of 1300cc, probably a 1293cc, is more powerful than the original, 1380. So probably a very quick mini.

I like it.

The only, cons, are small brake master cylinder, with 6pot brakes, lack of air filter.

Oil cooler, looks like it might be almost ineffective. No mech fan, sueprcharger setup looks likes a modded version, or copy of Ben's famed SC12 kit. No passenger side engine stabilser.

Guess that's about it, otherwise it's awesome, 9/10 IMO!

<edit> Just noticd it has holes in the bonnet for air to the oil cooler. SO it should work.

I know what I mean, it's written a hell of a lot better than what many other people I've seen type on forums like.

At least I contributed usefully to the discussion, unlike you.
