Just a couple of times the following has happened. Drive long distances - 150-170 k's, at 80km/h - my speed limit. Mini = Get lots heated up and use lots of fuel. Drive long distances - 150-170 k's, at 100-130+ km/h - naughty me. Mini = Stay cool, and not use lots of fuel 
So i would have thought that belting the mini at 130+ would be working it too hard, and make it cook and stuff, but it would seem that the mini like long, hard and fast drives. Is this normal?

I can tell you it was doing some sort of heavy labouring at 130 too
