Gentlemen, what is the best way to give the impression that you have a right hand petrol tank, immitation only. I have 2 monza locking covers and need somewhere to stick the second one so it looks like duel tanks, Suggestions please or advice would be appreciated.

Minisport in SA sells a dummy RH neck kit. It screws on body with 1 screw. looks real...
I bought one, cut it up and welded it onto my RH tank (tank filled with water). Now the bugger doesn't leak... 8)

<edit> here `tis on MiniSpares UK site-

Just cut the neck off a left hand tank, i had a car that had a hole for the right hand tank, i just pushed the cut off neck into the rubber grommet, it was a tight enough fit to hold it in there, then fit cap, bingo.

I've seen many mini's with the dummy neck kit.

A bit silly really, looks like twins but without the 50 litre fuel capacity - the real advantage of twin tanks.

But if you have a hole, tis a good way to cover it. Or if you want a Cooper S style, but can't afford a RH tank, go for it. They (RH tanks) are expensive!

I can't stand the bloody things.

But this is my opinion only, and in most cases it isn't valid.
