hey all

i just bought a LS1275 and its had the halogen conversion done, but the high beams wont go on, when i flick the switch in the carfor high beams, the low beams turn off but the high beams dont come on, i checked the globes it has high and low beam. also the high beam indicator on the dash doesnt come on.

Im think the switch is gone but i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

If the high beam indicator on the dash isn't coming on, then the twelve volts for the high beam wire probably isn't leaving the steering column. Test for the 12 volts on the blue/white wire at the connector plug for the indicator stalk.

This is under the dash near the steering column. easy to get to on your back from the driver's side.

It may be the dip mechanism in the indicator, or it may be a loose wire herabouts.

have you checked the fuse on the left hand side of the firewall. no not the fuse box, the one tucked up under the sill, or behind the sound deadener if still in place.

Cheers
Aaron
