It ran in Rally Australia ???? Anyone know anything about it , I thought a mini running in Rally Australia would have generated a lot of talk about the traps ????

At the time I thought it was red and did nothing special, eating a gearbox or a diff, being fixed only to do it again on the next stage.

Yeah, I've got that article somewhere. It wasn't an auspicious departure...

Yep ran in Rally Australia....

There was a Group A and Group N car that both ran.... I think the Group N was a tad more reliable.....

..in fact there the back of my head may be in that water splash photo

Have some photos somewhere.....

<EDIT> Actually I lie.... the photos I've found show 2 White Minis 57 and 76.... but can't see which year the rally was 199?... but didn't have a fancy camera then..so pretty average shots.

Getting old....

Yep the Mini for sale is 2004 and some articles out on the web about it :

http://www.coventryautomotive.co.uk/news.htm

My experience was 1997.... and the Mini 57 retired with Electrical issues and 76 finished 49th (last finisher of 87 starters !)......
