Hmm bugger.

Got a voltmetre on whilst the car is running??

Mine charges at 14.7ish volts, and when it's close to fully charged it's goes back towards 12v. With high beams on, window wipers, heater, radio, it still sits at either 12v or above.

I've never had a flat battery (appart from one day, I left the lights on in the carpark.... :oops: ), even with my short, 5 minute trips to work and back with the lights on (I usually work night shifts).

N15 alternator is rated to take up to 70amps, somethings not right. :?

<edit>

I remember I had some issues with charger, not under charging but overcharging due to electrical setup.

The alternator requires 12v on an 'excite' line to make it work. On the old Leyland ones this was done through the charging light circuit, I think. Pulsar works a bit different. You need two lines one for light and one for the 'excite'. Ands make sure excites on igntion not battery, it would jsut run out while parked - flat battery.

Anyways, the issue was that it doesnt say which is light and which is excite, and for some reason it works better one way around rather than the other, I just experimented until it worked.
