for a mini minimum tools you need to carry in the car, are 3/8 7/16 1/2 9/16 11/16 3/4 spanners, flat blade & phillips screw driver, pliers, hammer & can of WD40

For your garage, buy a decent set of imperial spanner & sockets, flywheel puller the 2 big sockets needed for hub nuts
& flywheel bolts, good quality trolley jack, 2 or even 4 quality axle stands smallish comperessor & a rattle gun.

Torque wrench - recommend Warren & Brown, made in Oz, model 323500 1/2" drive range 20-200ft lbs. Pricey, but accurate (so long as you don't let your "friends" borrow it  )

Dial guages - previous threads have covered this.

Any bendy bar torque wrench with a brand name is good for home use. I have no problems with my Craftman one I bought for USD$24 from Sears 8)
