Hey everyone,

I just picked up my second mini, and it suffers from the same problem as my first, the door locks move in the doors, they rotate the entire lock rather then just the barrel, so makes locking my car a pain the bum because i have to hold the outer ring of the lock while turning the barrel with the key.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problems and different solutions?

Thanks everyone!

if its a clubman the doors can be made to suit the ignition key with a few mods using a mazda / ford door lock and filing the hole in the door bigger to match the new lock, this will make the lock very firm and much more secure than the poo originals

if you need help throw us PM and i can help

cheers Paul

by the way that doesnt work, you can unlock the door without a key by turning the barrel..
lost a pair of $5 sunnies that way.

there are some metal tabs on the inside that locate the door lock, take the door card off and have a look..
