Only if you can re-condition them, and get driveshafts for less than what a set of ready to go ones cost.

it would cost you a heap to recondition them, I would say $300 + (cheaper if you did them yourself)

have you looked at getting a set of honda or camira brakes fitted? cheaper and easyer to get parts.

just my 2 cents.

i wanted to go the metro turbo disks cause they have 4 pot calipers and they are good brakes and are easy to fit with the other types of brake upgrades you can get you have to get everything machined or custom made.

depending on what needs to be reco'd you'd be looking more around $500-$600 mark.

and if you don't already have adjustable steering arms, you'll need them with the metro hubs

Plus metro hubs have a different geomety, you WILL need adjustable lower arms and tie rods to make the geometry set right.

I say go for a set of cooper s discs!

I have a set of these I haven't fitted yet. Karcraft told me the early metro Turbo brakes had the same size ball joint shafts as the Aus Mini. The later ones were had bigger ball joints but the early ones are interchangeable (and are available). They are sealed units unlike Aussie Mini ball joints.

As for drive shafts, I can't see any difference between drum and disc brake shafts. The CV's are different. Pretty sure the drum brake drive shafts fit into the disc brake CV's. Anyone know for sure?

Pete
