If you need this item, you have more serious problems to attend to than just fitting a spring.

I have one (Paul exchanged it for one of my electronic voltage regulators) Haven't installed it yet as everything is in pieces - Was going to give it a whirl and see how it goes.

I'm going to fit one to dad's clubby before the engine is removed. Nothing wrong it really, old and tired but gearbox is fine. But gonig to install one jsut to see. People all say it's useless, but who's tried it? I've seen a few cars using them but never asked if it's any better.

Someones got to do research on these things willy , if it works then it's worth it , if it doesn't then it's worth the test so others know it doesn't .

But how would you know if it works - or doesn't - on a clutch/gearbox that is already fine? (in Tim's situation)

On a working mini it should be still noticeable as a little improvement if it works , on one with problems/worn clutch or components you mightn't notice the difference because the problem mightn't be in the travel that the spring is supposed to take up by returning the slave cylinder to it's proper location .
