Had a thought today.

What's the best/worst legacy a previous mini owner has left you.

for example.

"I knew should never have bought my car off a stegosaurus"

My old mans mini was owned my my mothers father, before that it was owned by a little old lady who got collected by a QLD rail truck. Needless to say it pretty well rooted the mini. My mums old man fixed it up pretty good and then we bought it off him for $100 after he had had it on the road for a couple of years and did it up some more. You can still notice that the drivers door doesn't line up right and the seems are a little dodgy where a new roof was welded on. Still it isn't too bad. Have a photo at home after it had been hit by the truck...looks pretty scarey.

On the one I am doing up, we pulled out the spare tyre and found some fibre glass in the boot, so we ripped that out and basically found out the the fibre glass was the boot floor. Is all fixed now though.

I win: A handful of gravel in my van.

Under the rocker cover.

The motor was removed form the engine bay and in the back of the van when I bought it, so potentially the gravel was put in through the oil filler and the engine wasn't run like that. It needs a full rebuild though.

A friend of mine told me about his Mini van. Went outside one day to find it stolen, so pops down to the Police station to report it. The copper says "No worries, give us the registration details and we'll get on it". David says "Oh, okay I'll just go outside to get them" then leaves. Remembered he had no ownership papers. So no police report, and no van. Tee hee...

One of the clubbies I had came with six wheels, a 3-spoke racing steering wheel and about 67 cents.

My grandfather owned an HJ Kingswood ex-chaser back in the 70's. I found a syringe under the back seat of it.

Other cars I have owned usually supply me with some loose change. Another time I found some guys 'little black book'......
