I am just installing a heater in 1970 mini and im trying to find where the large pipe connection from the heater go should the large pipe in the heater go any where to the outside of the car or does it just suck air from inside the car?

You talking about the large opening at the very top on the drivers side.

It is ment too draw air from outside, and connects to the side wall (kickpanel) on the drivers side, if you have a roundie im not sure about the set up but almost sure that they don't have that hole on the RH side.

I have a clubbie and it has the hole but its not connected so no dramas, unless you realy want fresh air from outside.
