Post subject:  Clubman wiper switch - Sorted

Hi there,

I have been helping my Son with his Clubman, and he had removed the switch panel and disconnected all of the wiring.

i have sussed everything out except the Wiper switch. Can anybody assist with either:
a) Details of which wires go to which contact. The contacts are numbered 1,2, 4, & 5 etc. b) A copy of an Australian Wiring Diagram (77 Clubman) as the OS ones are different.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers.

Dicko.

Not the same unfortunately. This site says The rocker/toggle switches have pins 1 3 5 and 7 connected together internally. In the off position contacts 1 2 (park brown/light-green) 5 and 6 (slow red/light-green) are connected together. In the slow position contacts 3 4 (12v green) 5 and 6 (red/light-green) are connected together and in the fast position contacts 3 4 (12v green) 7 and 8 (blue/light-green) are connected together.

On a Clubman rocker switch there are pins 1,2,4,and 5. In the off position pins 4 and 5 are bridged. In low speed position its 2 & 1 that are bridged and in hogh speed its 2 & 4.

Thanks anyway.

When did you get your disc from Wombat? If in the earlier batch, you are quite right, it can't help you. I copied all the Australian supplement (including your required wiring diagram) and passed it on to Wombat for inclusion on any future requests for discs. If you need a copy PM me with some address details and I will post a copy of the Australian Supplement.

Got it sorted, bought a Leyland Gen Workshop Manual off Ebay.

Pin outs are as follows:

Pin 1 - Black/Green
Pin 2 - Black
Pin 4 - Red/Light Green
Pin 5 - Blue/Light Green

Cheers,

Dicko.
