i was at a party on saturday night, and i was outside putting the beer in the esky. my girlfriend pokes me and says hey look! so i look and theres a mini sitting in the driveway! so i said  and went over and had a look. on first glance it looked like an LS, it is a 78, nugget gold ion colour, 12" LS wheels (or at least the hubcaps), centre antenna. it had seat covers on so i couldnt see if it had the LS seats.

but here are the things which made me think it was a mock up: no LS badges on grille or boot (and no holes where they used to be) no LS side-stripes, and 2 big black stripes either side of the centre ridge on the bonnet. dont think they went over the whole car.

what do you think? LS in disguise or mock up? i didnt look at the body or engine numbers (owner didnt even know engine size)

the owner didnt seem to know alot about it, someone else does the work on it and he just didn't seem that into it. nice enough guy, i asked him about the mini and i got into a half hour natter about basically everything from the mini to his bowel movements (which i REALLY needed to know...)

Yer lives just down the hill.

Pretty sure it's a legit 1275 LS, just no stripes or badges put back on after the respray. (as if you wouldn't!!!)
