I'm happy driving Sally at the speed limit, she cruises beautiful, no need to go any faster ![]() Besides with her little 998 I'm too scared to go any faster then 110km (especially when it hasnt gone round the clock!) |

SA needs some sort of drag strip. ![]() I know full speed won't be seen on a drag strip, not even close. I know there are salt lakes which people do this sort of thing here in SA, but that would just eat my car away. Don't actually know the top speed of my car, but from the way it pulls in top gear at high-ish rpms, I can jsut guess around the 175kph mark due to my self imposed rev limit of 6600rpm. 180kph at 6800rpm. Above all I wonder if my car would just fall apart at that speed? Hahaha I'm a legal driver, so these speeds have never been seem, and probably never will be, unless Adelaide get a drag strip. Or I get un-lazy and do some track work. |

Around 95MPH at the end of Wakefield Pk straight, running 3.44 diff. That was with the old 1310, which had around 115HP at crank. The 1360 in it now has a fair bit more HP than that and a shorter diff (3.647) but I've not been there since the rebuild. ![]() |
