Just brought a 17ACR alternator, usual thing thou no wiring diagrams on the box and nothing on the regulator, and cannot find anything in manuals etc.

Does anyone know of the 3 terminals which is which and where they go?

On a 17 ACR Alternator you will find 2 large spade terminals and one small one. The two large ones are Battery positive (B+) and the small one is the warning lamp wire (D+). Make sure it is the correct Internally regulated Alternator as some externallly regulated ones had one of the big terminals a NEGATIVE. These were the Alternators with half a plastic cap on the back. Also check the wiring in the car make sure it is the same system. And please don't let the smoke out of the wiring otherwise nothing will work.
