ok me father has just freshly painted my 1970 mini k in milano red with a crystal white roof now today i went outside and had a look at my car and theres a big chunk of paint missing off my nose now i have 11 brothers and sisters that i live with and all said they didnt do it now is there any thing i can get that will make my paint harder so it will scratch with a lotmore difficulty? thanks a lot carter |

to be honest i dont think there is anything on the market that makes it harder... only thing that really helps paint life is the preparation under it, if it can grip onto the primer well it wont chip as easy. |

agreed with meeni, but what type of paint was it? maybe things wernt left to cure for long enough in the painting process |

If it's very new it should harden as it ages |

it is just acrylic paint and it was sprayed probably a couple of months ago.....it was under coated with spray putty the putty primer stuff and that was left to dry for a couple of months aswell........ |

I know a couple car show type guys. They always use acrylic on their black cars. They dont touch them for 6 months after they top coat them because they say thats how long it takes for it to harden proper. 2k paint is harder but more brittle when its chipped etc. Just touch it up and let it dry for a while it should harden up a bit |
