Tovon's auto repairs in Seaford is a mechanic with long standing in the Mini community. I used him ten years ago for a lot of work and he was great. He deals a lot with the Victorian Mini Club and has been used as event launching points a number of times.

There is another fellow just around the corner specialising in Minis, but I cannot remember who he is, nor have I any personal notes on him either.

Post subject:  Mini specialist out West

Do you know of a specialist or mechanic out West that is trustworthy to play with mini's. Its a bit of a problem to travel way out east when we have a problem out west.
Any advice would be appreciated.

David.

John at JED motors has moved back to run his parts business out of his home. He also now imports chinese Moke bodies, which look identical but have side intrusion bars etc.

I will give Toby a ring this week.

thanks for the advice,

Davo111,

MiniMax, AKA Max Sherry used to be in Hoppers Crossing. Don't know if he's still in business. Still does hillclimbs along with his wife Margaret.
Don't have an address but you might find it in the VMCC mag.

Yeah, you can give him a call though he's out of business, but I think Davo knows him allready quite well, am I right?

Toby in Seaford is a lovely guy and a real lover of the car. Its a long way to travel but he is so nice and talks you through things. He is happy to give advise without thinking of his pocket.
Highly recommended. :)
