Does anyone what happened to Lil Thumpa?

It was a white Mini Deluxe made to be a Cooper 'S' look alike (as you do) with the black out treatment, ie all chrome was black.
Lil Thumpa had a mural on each rear quarter panel of the cute bunny, Lil Thumpa.
It ran a 1400cc or something like that and was owned by a bloke who called himself Beppi who lived in Sunnybank, Brisbane.

I remember the last time I saw it was about 1986 or thereabouts and I was just wondering if anyone had any info on Lil Thumpa???

I reckon this forum needs a 'What happened to' section. Might be handy to find our long lost first Minis too.

It`s dead,,,no longer,,,gooonnne,,,Kapoot

sorry but it`s true,,,poor lil thing died a very rusty cancerous death,,,not enough shell prep went into her & it all rusted out, neglected by the owner after Marcos,,,we helped supply parts & work for Marcos as he was building it & we cetain;ly did the 1415cc stroker engine for him & also set up the suspension etc etc etc,,,we didn`t have anything to do with the paint or panel work tho, it was a real treat in the hot rod shows for some time tho

i have the rear subframes & some other stuff from the old girl here, but the rest is dead & buried

pity tho hey? was once a hot lil car,,,i have a picy of it here somewhere, i`ll try to scan & upload it
